<p>PURPOSE: To prevent a malfunction of an over-pressure sensing device from being generated under utilization of water flowed out of an over-pressure preventing valve in a configuration in which a pressure reducing valve, an over-pressure preventing valve and an over-pressure sensor are arranged in sequence at a pipe of a water supply side of a tap-water direct connection type hot water feeder. CONSTITUTION: A pair of electrodes 11 and a funnel-like different diameter pipe 16 enclosing a cord 12 connected to the electrodes are arranged within a hose 7 extending from an over- pressure preventing valve 4. Although a small amount of water is directionally dropped onto a cover 13 for the electrodes 11, the water is not accumulated between the electrodes 11. When a large amount of water 15 flows out of the over-pressure preventing valve 4, the water is collected with the different diameter pipe 16, directionally flowed and regulated to drop onto the cover 13, and collected at the electrodes 11 to cause an electrical conduction to be formed between the electrodes 11 and then a signal is transmitted to means for controlling a burner so as to terminate its combustion. In addition, the different diameter pipe is not used, and in place of it, a cap is applied to the lower part of the cover 13, the hose 17 is plugged and the cap is formed with an opening part constituting an orifice, the accumulated water is contacted with the electrodes and in turn the water is discharged out of the opening.</p> |
