<p>PURPOSE: To produce one or plural color filters each having an insulating part at the same time by placing a mask provided with an opening only at the necessary part on a traveling substrate and coating the substrate by napkin, bleeding, bar or blade coating from above the mask. CONSTITUTION: A film mask, e.g. 305 by 405mm, provided with a 100 by 150mm openings at the parts, e.g. four, to be coated with an adhesive is placed on a film substrate 1, e.g. 300 by 400mm, being conveyed by a conveyor 10, and an adhesive is applied from above the film mask by napkin coating or bar coating to partially coat the part of the substrate 1 corresponding to the color photosensitive layer. Consequently, the color photosensitive material is adhered to the substrate 1. The viscosity of a coating soln. 26 is controlled to 5cP and the wet coating thickness to 2cc/m<2> . In this case, a fluororesin as a water- repellent substance is used as the material on the boundary edge of the opening of the mask to prevent the thick coating of the edge.</p> |
