DEODORIZING METHOD AND APPARATUS

PURPOSE: To deodorize the offensive smell component in treated gas by biological treatment using negatively charged high humidity active air. CONSTITUTION: A negatively charged high humidity active air generator 3 arid a biological treatment apparatus 2 are combined and the former 3 generates negatively charged high humidity active air containing fine waterdrops formed by dividing water in sucked treated gas to send the same to the biological treatment apparatus 2. The biological treatment apparatus 2 is constituted by packing a deodorizing column 8 with a packing material 19 having deodorizing bacteria supported thereon. A part of the offensive smell component contained in the treated gas is caught by fine waterdrops in the negatively charged high humidity active air generator 3 to be taken in condensed water to be taken out of the system. The residual offensive smell component is caught by waterdrops and transported by air force to be aerobically decomposed in the deodorizing column 8 of the biological treatment apparatus 2.
