PURPOSE: To obprepare an ant preventive agent capable of remarkably manifesting a synergistic effect, having high ant preventive potency even at a low concentration of the agent in use and reducing toxicity problems owing to small amount of the residual agent. CONSTITUTION: In this ant preventive agent, 100 pts.wt. o, o-diethyl-o-(3-oxo-2- phenyl-2H-pyridazin-6-yl)phosphorothionate (pyridafenthion) is used together with preferably 5-100 pts.wt. 2-sec-butylphenyl-methyl carbomate (fenobucarb). The ant preventive agent is easy to handle and economically advantageous. Ant preventive potency is imparted to a woody material by directly coating on the surface of the woody material or compressively impregnating the ant preventive agent thereto. In is able to indirectly prevent ants by adhering the ant preventive agent to binding parts, a base, etc., which contact with the woody material or spraying the agent on soil, etc. |
