PURPOSE: To prevent misrecognition by making the fact that the movement of the current position came to a stop confirmable at once on the basis of a vibration in the display state of the current position by displaying the final current position, where the position was measurable, to be different from a display mode of the current position, when the position measurement is disabled. CONSTITUTION: If there are not less than three artificial satellites capable of receiving radio waves in time of starting the displaying of a current position and a taveling locus in a state that a map 9a is displayed screen 7a, this current position is displayed as a luminescent point to be continuously lighted like a new current position, thereby displaying the current position data as the traveling locus 12 on the basis of the stored data. If there are less than three satellites capable of receiving the waves in time of passing through a valley between high-rise buildings and a tunner, the final current position 11, where a position was measurable, is displayed as a flashing point. When it was so judged that there was not less than three satellites capable of receiving the waves, a reopening spot of measuring is displayed as a new current position 13, while the traveling locus is displayed as the traveling locus 12 on the basis of the data that stored this current position. |
