PURPOSE: To transmit sure data without requiring a connection cable, by providing a GPS sensor and an operation device with infrared communication units. CONSTITUTION: A GPS requirement command sent from an infrared communication unit 5 of an operation device 2 is detected by infrared rays at a receiving/ controlling circuit 11 of a unit 5 attached to a GPS sensor 1, converted to an electric signal and sent to a GPS receiving unit 4 via a RS 232C driver 9. In accordance with the GPS requirement command, the unit 4 calculates data such as a latitude, a longitude, a time, an altitude and the like from a GPS signal received by an antenna 3 and sends the calculated data to the unit 5 via the driver 9. The unit 5 converts the data at a transmitting/controlling circuit 10 to an infrared signal and emits and sends as infrared rays to the device 2. The unit 5 of the device 2 detects the infrared rays and operates with the use of the transmitted data. Accordingly, correct data can be transmitted without requiring a connection cable. |
