PURPOSE: To obtain a novel cap of a writing utensil in which an air vent path is ensured for preventing suffocation if the cap is swallowed, a sealing part is provided for preventing a writing tip from drying, a cap body has a simple inner structure and can be easily molded, a limitation in selecting a material is reduced, and a low-cost material is available upon request for a transparent cap. CONSTITUTION: On an inner surface of a tubular part 2 of a top crown 1 formed singly or integrally with a clip 8, a plurality of ribs 3 are radially projected toward the radial center of the tubular part 2. An elastic sealing material 4 is clamped by the inner end parts of the ribs 3. An air vent hole 6 communicating with a gap 5 between the ribs 3 is provided in a top surface of the tubular part 2. The tubular part 2 of the top crown 1 is inserted into the upper end opening of a tubular cap body 7 opened at both ends thereof. |
