<p>PURPOSE: To attain proper band limit by using a signal subjected to orthogonal transformation so as to control a filter circuit. CONSTITUTION: An image signal inputted in a DCT circuit 200 is subjected to, e.g. field DC transformation and an AC/DC coefficient is fed to an AC/DC coefficient arithmetic circuit 201, in which a prescribed arithmetic operation is applied to the AC/DC coefficient, from which a scene change detection signal, a fade-in/fade-out detection signal and a filter control signal are generated and outputted. An image signal fed to a memory 202 is formed into a delayed image signal delayed by one field period and it is fed to a 2-dimension filter 203. The 2-dimension filter 203 passes only a signal of a prescribed frequency band of the delayed image signal from the memory 202 on the basis of a filter control signal.</p> |
