EXHAUST MONITORING SYSTEM FOR ENGINE

PURPOSE: To monitor a rate of exhaust particulates in the state that an engine is mounted on a car, and suitably correspond to regulation of exhaust. CONSTITUTION: An insoluble component density sensor 50 is arranged on a passage 52 of an engine oil 51 for sensing insoluble component density in oil. A control device 60 monitors exhaust particulates rate of an engine 40 based on the sensed insoluble component density in the oil 51. At least one of fuel injection rate and a fuel injection timing of the engine 40 is controlled so as to reduce the exhaust particulates rate to be monitored according thereto. The control device 60 determines whether or not the engine 40 is in the state that the exhaust particulates rate can be controlled. When it is NO, a worning lamp 71 on a gauge panel 70 is lit to notify to a driver.
