PURPOSE: To easily and accurately grasp the road type on a recommended route. CONSTITUTION: In this on-vehicle route searching device equipped with a read- only memory 9 storing a table showing a relationship between a road assortment and a display color, a recommended route is operated and then recommended route information is drawn up, storing it into a storage random access memory(SRAM) 8. In this recommended route information, a road assortment information and a nodical position coordinates or the like are stored as the road assortment on the recommended route makes the same range as a unit. In addition, in order to display the road at different colors at each road assortment, a table showing a relationship between the road assortment and the display color is stored in the read-only memory 9. A control circuit 2 reads the recommended route information stored in the SRAM 8 in using its split information as a unit, while a display color corresponding to the roaf assortment on the inside of split information is selected by the table in the read-only memory 9, and the recommended route is displacement with the selected display color. With this constitution, the recommended route is displayed as being sorted by color in comformity with the road assortment. |
