PURPOSE: To obtain the subject composition not losing excellent heat resistance and electric insulating property, etc., and also having excellent tracking resistance by containing a polyphenylene sulfide resin, a specific polymer, magnesium hydroxide and a (non) fibrous filler. CONSTITUTION: This resin composition is composed of (A) 100 pts.wt. of a polyphenylene sulfide resin (preferably total ash component is 0.5wt.%), (B) 3-200 pts.wt. of a polymer selected from (i) a polyolefin-based polymer and/or a copolymer of the formula [αi is the number of H-atoms;βi is the number of halogen atoms;γi is the number of carbonyl groups andδi is the number of cyano groups;ωi is the number of C-atoms;θi is the molar ratio of structural units (i) in the polyolefin-based (co)polymer; in the case of a homopolymer,θi is 1] (preferably, a high density polyethylene, etc.), (ii) a silicone and (iii) a fluorine-based resin, (C) 30-250 pts.wt. of magnesium hydroxide and (D) 0-350 pts.wt. of a fibrous and/or a non-fibrous filler.
