PURPOSE: To improve quality of printed images to be transferred, and to improve abrasion resistance for the printed images in retransfer of images transferred by thermal transfer to an image transfer sheet by a method wherein a thermal transfer recording medium is formed with a hot-melt ink layer containing ethylenevinyl acetate resin provided. CONSTITUTION: A hot-melt ink layer is transferred from a thermal transfer recording medium to an image transfer sheet 10, and a thermal transfer image 20 is formed on the image transfer sheet 10. Then, the surface of a sticking agent layer 24 of a transparent film 22 is stuck to the surface where the thermal transfer image 20 is formed, and the thermal transfer image 20 is re-transferred to the sticking agent layer 24. Then, the transparent film 22 is peeled off, and by sticking the separated transparent film 22 to a desired object, the image is formed on the surface of the object. The thermal transfer recording medium is formed with the hot-melt ink layer containing ethylene-vinyl acetate resin as a binder component provided. Wettability index is made to become 21-32dyne/ cm for the surface of the image transfer sheet 10 to which the image is transferred by thermal transfer. |
