STORAGE AND TRANSMISSION METHOD FOR MOVING IMAGE DATA

PURPOSE: To realize a VOD(video on-demand) system at a low cost by utilizing an ISDN network of ISDN 64k or ISDN 384k or the like so as to store and send quasi-moving image data. CONSTITUTION: Video information entered by an image input device 1 is compressed by an encoder 2. Furthermore, audio information entered by an audio input device 3 is compressed by an encoder 4. A data storage device 5 forms frames of 80octet each from the received video information and audio information respectively and stores the frames to a file 6. A data transmitter 7 reads the file 6 on request and sends the frames to a terminal equipment of a receiver side synchronously with a clock signal of an ISDN 64k network.
