PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly, accurately, and automatically detect and count a microbe by scanning a solid support stand where a sample which possibly contain the fluorescent microbe is placed with laser beams. SOLUTION: A solid support stand where a sample which possibly contain a fluorescent microbe is placed is scanned with laser beams which are essentially larger than the microbe to be detected and are 4-14μm. Then, the scanning using laser spot is overlapped and, for scanning each part of a region, overlapped at least for two times, thus increasing a scanning speed. Also, the scanning results in X direction of a scanning pair are compared in synchronization by eliminating a non-correlated signal to maintain detection possibility. In this manner, the entire surface of the solid support is scanned by laser beams and discharged fluorescence is measured by at least one wavelength. The output information obtained as a result of measurement is processed by a digital signal processing device and the image is displayed. |
