PURPOSE: To select a best reception path automatically by repeating transmission while stepping down a transmission power sequentially every time a transmission interval timer expires and detecting a communication error from the expiration of a reception monitor timer. CONSTITUTION: A unit A14 sends a start command signal to detect a reception sensitivity to start a reception monitor timer. On the other hand, upon the receipt of the start command signal, a radio unit B15 uses a transmission power variable section 6 to send a signal SM representing a maximum power while keeping a maximum transmission power PM to start a transmission interval timer. The unit B15 steps down the transmission power sequentially every time the transmission interval timer expires, sends the signal corresponding to the prescribed transmission power and starts repetitively the transmission interval timer. The unit A14 detects a communication error and recognizes the reception sensitivity required for the communication with the radio unit B15 based on the signal stored just before the occurrence of the communication error, then the best reception path is automatically selected. |
