PURPOSE: To improve the quality of conversion by storing the using frequency of KANA (Japanese syllabary)/KANJI (Chinese character) strings outputted from a para graph dictionary and outputting KANA/KANJI strings from the paragraph dictionary in the descending order of the using frequency. CONSTITUTION: This Japanese conversion device is constituted of a paragraph dictionary 2 for outputting a KANA/KANJI string 6 corresponding to the reading of a paragraph unit formed by connecting an independent word and an adjunct in an inputted KANA character string 1, a display means 5 for displaying the KANA/KANJI string 6, a frequency storage means 3 for storing the use frequency of the string 6 based upon a previously set parameter 31, and a control means for controlling the output of the string 6 from the dictionary 2 in the descending order of the use frequency based upon the parameter 31. The control means 4 controls the output of the KANA/ KANJI string 6 corresponding to the paragraph unit, formed by connecting the independent word and the adjunct, in the inputted KANA character string 1 so that the KANA /KANJI string 6 is outputted from the dictionary 2 in the descending order of the use frequency based on the parameter 31 previously stored in the frequency storage means 3 and the string 6 controlled by the means 4 and outputted is displayed on the display means 4. |
