PURPOSE: To display a layout at always the same size regardless of the volume size of a document and to discriminatably display a current instructed position on a document on a layout display. CONSTITUTION: Right and left margines are set up in a set mode by inputting numerical values through a keyboard 11 and the number of characters in a required line is selected and set up. The set data are stored in a prescribed register built in a CPU 13 and the rate of set areas of right and left margines for the whole layout of one line is calculated based on the set data and the calculated result is stored in an A register 15 and a B register 16. The contents of both the registers 15, 16 are displayed on a layout display part 4. |
