<p>PURPOSE: To prevent the load on a driving source such as an engine from being rapidly increased by preventing an armature from being brought into rapid contact with a rotor with a large attraction when an exciting coil is energized. CONSTITUTION: In a magnet clutch provided with a rotor 13, an armature 25, and an exciting coil 31, the armature 25 consists of a first member 26 and a second member 27, and an elastic material 30 is interposed between the members 26,27. A slit 29 is formed in the first member 26 corresponding to the rotor 13, and a magnetic path 33 passing through the rotor 13 and the armature 25 passes around behind the exciting coil 31 across the elastic material 30. In the beginning of the excitation for the exciting coil 31, the magnetic path 33 is formed long, and the magnetic attraction is weak to realize the semi-clutched condition. When the magnetic path 33 is shortened by the compression of the elastic material 30, the attraction is gradually increased.</p> |
