<p>PURPOSE: To reduce the frictional resistance between an end part of a spring and a member brought into contact therewith. CONSTITUTION: A rotary shaft 30 is inserted in a cylinder part 21 of a caliper 18, and a face plate 34 is integrated with the tip of the rotary shaft 30. When the face plate 34 is rotated, ring members 36, 38 arranged on each side of the face plate 34 are moved and separated from each other in the axial direction of a rotor 14 by a first cam mechanism 26 and a second cam mechanism 28 formed between the face plate 34 and the ring members, and a piston 46 and a caliper 18 are moved in the axial direction of the rotor through ball ramp mechanisms 48, 56 to forcibly press an inner pad 24 and an outer pad 22 against the rotor 14. Coil springs 68, 70 arranged around the ring members 36, 38 are connected to the ring members 36, 38 on one end, and the other end having a radial bearing 71 is inserted in a slide groove 72 of the caliper 18 to follow the axial movement of the ring members and to prevent the rotation of the ring members 36, 38 in the beginning of the braking.</p> |
