PURPOSE: To provide the image recording device and its method which can adjust image processing conditions according to the kind of a recording medium. CONSTITUTION: The CPU 28 of a printer part B collaborates with the CPU of a reader part A to record a test pattern, stored in a ROM 30, and a test pattern, generated by a pattern generator 29, on the recording medium, and the reader part A reads out the test pattern recorded on the recording medium; and a table value of an LUT 25 is set based on the read test pattern, and the test table value is registered in a backup area of a RAM 32 so that it corresponds to the kind of the recording medium that an operator specifies. |
