PURPOSE: To provide the X-Y coordinate display method which eliminates operator's trouble for X-Y coordinate display and can display necessary information only by the input of a selection switch. CONSTITUTION: When an X-axis selection switch or Y-axis selection switch is pressed after the maximum value on a coordinate scale is determined on the basis of the maximum value among respective numeric data elements by three numeric data groups stored in a nonvolatile memory 4 and stored in the memory 4, the maximum value on the coordinate scale corresponding to the numeric data group selected with the X-axis selection switch is read out of the memory 4 to update the coordinate scale of the X axis while the position and value of the X axis are unchanged, the maximum value on the coordinate scale corresponding to the numeric data group selected with the Y-axis selection switch is read out of the memory 4 to update the coordinate scale of the Y axis while the position and value of the Y axis are unchanged, and the numeric data elements of the numeric data group selected as X-Y coordinates after the update are displayed on a display 9. |
