<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a toner not causing its scattering or the surface fogging of a copied image by incorporating a copolymer of a monomer contg. an amino group with one of styrene, methacrylate, acrylate and diene monomers and specified carbon black. CONSTITUTION: This toner is a positive charge type toner using a copolymer of a monomer contg. an amino group with at least one of styrene, methacrylate, acrylate and diene monomers as a bonding resin and contg. carbon black of >=pH 7.0 and >=40mμaverage particle diameter. In order to ensure satisfactory positive chargeability, amino groups in the bonding resin are preferably regulated so that an amine value of 5-200 is imparted. An effect is produced when the number average mol.wt. of the bonding resin is controlled to the range of 2,000-20,000 in which molecules are less liable to intertwist.</p> |
