PURPOSE: To provide an image processing method by which an object shading to be corrected of an image to be processed which includes the object shading and a shading to be uncorrected in corrected based on its features. CONSTITUTION: An area specifying means 9 specifies a shading area image G6 in a standard shading image G5, a feature extracting means 10 extracts the features of the shading area image G6, and a feature setting means 11 sets the features of the shading with a wave number from the extracted features; and a shading component calculating means 12 finds the wave number component of the standard shading image G5 as a standard shading component, a shading correcting means 13 finds the wave number component of the image G1 to be processed, subtracts the standard shading component from the wave number component, reversely calculating the result to find the object shading, and subtracts the luminance level of the pixel of the object shading corresponding to the position from the image G1 to be processed, thereby correcting the object shading. |
