PURPOSE: To enable a speech with presence in a state that a caller and a called party meet their eyes with each other even if a monitor projecting the video of the called party by using a transmission reflection means becomes larger by substantially matching the monitor and the camera photographing the caller on the line of sight of the caller. CONSTITUTION: This video telephone has a monitor 2 projecting the video of a called party, a camera 3 photographing a caller 4 and a half mirror 1 as a transmission reflection means reflecting the video of the monitor 2. The camera 3 turns toward the caller 4 and the monitor 2 turns up. The half mirror 1 is arranged by being inclined by 45 deg. to the horizontal direction. The caller 4 speaks with the called party, observing the video of the monitor 2 reflected via the half mirror 1. This caller 4 is photographed by the camera 3 by transmitting the half mirror 1. The camera 3 is capable of photographing the caller 4 by catching the line of sight at the location on the line of sight of the caller 4 and the front video of the caller 4 is projected on the monitor on the side of the called party. |
