摘要 PURPOSE: To improve the throughput of the lattice type network system by enhancing the transmission efficiency of a packet. CONSTITUTION: A sequence number provision section 43 provides a sequence number to transmission packets in the order of their production. A transmission packet classification section 43 classifies the transmission packets based on the transmission direction and a hop number and stores the result to a transmission buffer section 45. A relay transmission packet contention control section 46 informs a state of a row side packet transmitter 31R and a column side packet transmitter 31C to a buffer controller 47. The buffer controller 47 discriminates a packet transmitter in an idle state based on the notice information and selects a packet to be supplied to the packet transmitter and whose sequence number is younger. The selected transmission packet is fed to the packet transmitter in the idle state from the transmission buffer section 45 via the relay transmission packet contention control section 46.
