PURPOSE: To conduct a high-load combustion by a method wherein rhombic projections,having no flame port, are formed lengthwise and crosswise on the surface of a combustion plate while flame ports formed in recessed grooves, are provided with a small diameter to prevent the phenomenon of back fire. CONSTITUTION: A multitude of projections 2 in the shape of rhombic, square and the like and having no flame port, are formed on a combustion plate 1, made of a refractory having a high fire resistance, lengthwise and crrosswise so as to be surrounded by recessed grooves 3 while a multitude of flame ports 4, having the diameter of 0.7-0.95 ϕ, are bored on respective recessed grooves 3 and the porosity of the combustion plate 1 is specified so as to be 5-20%. |
