<p>PURPOSE: To record a still picture on a television screen with a simple operation by storing inputted image signals in an image memory while updating them just for a prescribed amount every time, stopping updating the inputted image signals with a first operation, and outputting the stored image signals. CONSTITUTION: When a picture storage instruction inputted from a user through an operating part 2 (the first operation) is detected, the storage update of digital image data to a memory 5 is stopped, the digital image data stored in the memory 5 are read out, and conversion to compressed codes is started. The converted compressed codes are stored in the memory 5. When the conversion to compressed codes is finished, the conversion of inputted video signals to the digital image data and the storage into the memory 5 are started again. When a compressed code transmitting instruction inputted from the user through the operating part 2 (a third operation) is detected in this case, according to a prescribed protocol, the compressed code data are transmitted through a communication control part 7.</p> |
