PURPOSE: To easily estimate a travelable distance by accurately displaying the residual capacity of a battery installed into a motor car with a relatively simple constitution. CONSTITUTION: In a battery residual capacity display device for a motor car in which the residual capacity of a battery B installed into a motor car is displayed by the number of the radiants of a light emitting diode 1 in accordance with the residual capacity, the number of the radiants of the light emitting diode 1 is controlled by the residual capacity based upon the integrated result of charge and discharge quantities when the voltage of the battery B is not less than a predetermined voltage or a discharge quantity is not more than a predetermined quantity, and when they exceed a limit, the number of the radiants of the light emitting diode 1 is directly controlled by the residual capacity based upon the terminal voltage of the battery B. |
