PURPOSE: To prevent metal vapor from a weld surface to an electron gun part, improve durability of an electron gun to the arc, and reduce sputter damage of a cathode by moving a beam to the electron gun part and a weld part parallel for a specified distance (a) using two-stage deflection in the case of welding by an electron beam welder. CONSTITUTION: A first and a second deflection coils 2, 3 are provided between a first and a second focusing lenses 1, 4 positioned between an electron gun part and a weld surface for deflecting electron beams forαdeg. and -αdeg. respectively to move the beams at the electron gun part 7 and the weld part for a specified distance (a) in parallel. This device is composed of a coil holding block for holding and fixing position relation of the focusing lenses 1, 4 to the deflection coils 2, 3, and power sources to control these.
