PURPOSE: To execute appropriate execution management based on the inference of remaining electric energy so as to prevent a battery from being used up in course of processing by preserving safely data by inhibiting beforehand the start of an application when the remaining quantity of the battery becomes small. CONSTITUTION: At the time of change from the voltage over battery primary low voltage to the battery primary low voltage or at the time of the change from the battery primary low voltage to battery secondary low voltage, a battery remaining quantity detection circuit 18 generates the trigger pulse of one shot on a signal line 44 for a system management chip set 17. When the system management chip set 17 detects this trigger pulse, it makes the signal line 45 active, and generates system management interrupt. When a CPU 11 detects this interrupt, it inhibits or suspends the execution of a program in accordance with time required for this change of the voltage so that the data can be preserved. |
