PURPOSE: To make a recording operation of signal onto a disk accurate by turning a reproducing output of a laser to a hold mode and turning its recording output to a sample mode for prescribed time when a reproducing state is switched to a recording state. CONSTITUTION: While a sample operation for the recording output is performed by a sample-and-hold circuit 9, the reproducing output is set in the hold mode. When the operation of switching from the reproducing state to the recording state is performed, the reproducing output of the laser is set and held in the hold mode and the recording output is detected and set in the sample mode for the prescribed time. Namely, since the detecting and setting operation of the recording output is performed without fail at the time of operation switching, the output of the laser element can be prevented from overshooting. |
