PURPOSE: To improve KANJI (Chinese character) conversion accuracy and to reduce labor for inputting a KANJI/KANA (Japanese syllabary) mixed character string by storing learning information by the combination of a prefix, a suffix and their preceding and succeeding nouns without independently learning the prefix and suffix by a learning means. CONSTITUTION: The learning means 105 stores learning information by the combinations of a prefix, a suffix and their preceding and succeeding nouns. A maximum likelihood candidate extracting means 104 extracts a candidate having the highest maximum likelihood out of plural conversion candidates by the use of a learning information acquiring means 106 and a semantic relation acquiring means 107. Namely when processing is started, a reading KANA character string is inputted from an input means 101, a molpheme analysis means 103 prepares plural conversion candidates by retrieving a dictionary 102 based upon the reading KANA. Then the means 104 extracts the maximum likelihood candidate out of the plural conversion candidates by the use of the means 106, 107. At the time of detecting a change in the maximum likelihood candidate, the learning means 105 stores the changed conversion candidate. |
