PURPOSE: To facilitate the transmission and reception of data between a paging base station and a pager station by making the base station notify the pager station of reception of the transferred data and then sending the data to the pager station or storing them at the base station in accordance with the data storage capacity of the pager station. CONSTITUTION: When the communication data including the identification information Ea that specifies a data main body Ec and a pager station A are sent to a paging base station B, the station B decides the data storage capacity of the station A by a decision means Ca. If the station A can receive the main body Ec, the station B instructs a transmitter 7 to send the main body Ec after the incoming notification Eb that is generated by an incoming notification generation means Db. If the station A is unable to receive the main body Ec, the station B instructs a data storage means E to store the communication data. At the same time, an outgoing control means Da instructs the transmitter 7 to send the notification Eb. In such a constitution, the reception of the communication data is always known. Then the main body Ec can be easily received and also can be transmitted in a short time despite its large size.
