PURPOSE: To automatically change also elements other than a positional element and to shorten color document preparing time by applying logical analysis to an inputted and edited document having no format information and automatically changing the layout of the document. CONSTITUTION: An inputted/edited document memory 2 stores a document prepared by a document inputting/editing means 1 consisting of a keyboard or the like for inputting/editing a document. A document logical analysis means 3 logically analyzes the contents of the inputted/edited document stored in the memory 2. A layout changing means 4 changes the layout (detection of caption/text, character modification, character size, style, arrangement, etc.) of an original document based upon the analytical result of the means 3. A layout-changed document memory 5 stores a document of which layout is changed by the means 4. A document storing means 6 stores the documents stored in both the memories 2, 5. A printing means 7 prints out the documents stored in respective memories 2, 5. |
