<p>PURPOSE: To correct the delay in movement which occurs between supporting plates on a driving side and driven side and to prevent a cassette tray from inclining by providing the rack pitch of a pair of supporting plates with a difference in lengths in correspondence to the varying distances from a driving source. CONSTITUTION: A pair of the supporting plates 3, 4 are disposed in both side parts parallel with the moving direction of the cassette tray for moving the cassette tray attachably and detachably housing a tape cassette between a first position where the tape cassette is freely attachable and detachable and a second position where recording and reproducing are executed. These plates have racks 6, 7 respectively at their bottom ends. A link shaft 14 is freely rotatably supported at main body chassis and has a driving gear 12 and driven gear 13 for moving the cassette tray by meshing with the racks 6, 7 corresponding to the respective supporting plates 3, 4 at its both ends. The pitch P2 of the rack 7 of the supporting plate 4 on the side distant from the driving power source for rotational driving of the link shaft 14 is set longer than the pitch P1 of the rack 6 of the supporting plate 3 on the side nearer the driving source.</p> |
