PURPOSE: To provide an image forming device capable of detecting misregistration with high accuracy by reducing the generation frequency of sample errors in a misregistration detecting pattern. CONSTITUTION: When the pitch of the appearance of the same color pattern out of patterns of each color formed in a main scanning direction in order of K, Y, M and C coincides with the pitch of the generation of a stain streak and the pattern of K is once overlapped with the stain streak, they are always overlapped. Therefore, all the patterns of K become the sample error. At this time, a position where the generation of the stain streak is predicted on the transfer belt is grasped by a system control part and the generation timing of the pattern is controlled to form the pattern with the position avoided, as shown by the figures (b)-(d). |
