PURPOSE: To prevent the fall-of side gears so as to prevent adverse effect on pinion gears, engaging failure, galling, seizure, wear, and the like caused by the fall. CONSTITUTION: A differential gear is provided with a differential case 3, output- side side gears 9, 11 individually connected to output shafts 13, 15, pinion gears 49, 51 for connecting the gears 9, 11, and storage holes 45, 47 for enclosing the gears 49, 51. The opposed end parts of the gears 9, 11 support each other through supporting parts 35, 37 to a center ring member 33, and the axial outer end parts of the gears 9, 11 are supported on the case 3 at supporting parts 21, 23 to the output shafts 13, 15 and the case 3. When the clearances of the supporting parts 21, 23, 35, 37 are made A and clearances between the gears 49, 51 and the storage holes 45, 47 are made B, it is set to A<=B.
