PURPOSE: To reduce power consumption in the whole liquid crystal driving device by reducing power consumed on a clock line transmitting a clock. CONSTITUTION: A first latch group consisting of add numbered latch circuits 21, 23,... and a second latch group consisting of even numbered latch circuits 22, 24,... are driven using two kinds of horizontal synchronizing signals (XSCL1, XSCL2) with phases shifted by π/2, and the first latch group and the second latch group are processed in parallel. Thus, the clock frequency of the horizontal synchronizing signal consisting of respective phases is made a half. In the case of the liquid crystal driving device, transfer gates of the latch circuit 21-24... are connected to the clock line by the number of drain lines, so that the clock line has large load capacity, however the clock frequency is made a half, the number of times of charge/discharge for the large load capacity is thereby reduced, and the power consumption is reduced. |
