<p>PURPOSE: To prevent total voltage drop by detecting a deteriorated battery through a deterioration detecting means, bypassing the deteriorated battery through a connection control means thereby disconnecting the deteriorated battery. CONSTITUTION: A terminal voltage monitor circuit 4 compares the terminal voltage of a battery 2-1,..., 2-n with a reference value in order to prevent the deterioration of the battery. When a deteriorated battery is detected, a command is delivered to a control circuit 5 where the terminal C of a relay 3 is switched from (a) to (b). Consequently, the deteriorated battery is disconnected and the total voltage drop is prevented thus extending the cruising distance of an automobile. Furthermore, the deterioration of the battery is retarded.</p> |
