PURPOSE: To facilitate the bending work of a plate fin tube type heat exchanger by a method wherein the heat exchanger is arranged to be slanted so that one side thereof becomes higher than the other side and a plate fin is slanted with respect to the horizontal line while the tube is worked to be bent. CONSTITUTION: A heat exchanger 30 is slanted slightly with respect to the horizontal line so that the left side thereof becomes higher than the right side while the upper part is bent toward the rear stream side to cover the upper part of a cross flow fan 4. According to this method, a plate fin 31 is slanted slightly with respect to the horizontal line and, accordingly, a tube 32 is slanted slightly with respect to the vertical line and the upper part of the tube 3 is slanted rearwardly. Accordingly, the plate fin tube type heat exchanger can be easily worked so as to bend the tube easily and, further, the tube can be bent at arbitrary position with arbitrary radius of curvature whereby the man- hours and the cost of the bending work can be reduced. |
