PURPOSE: To obtain a push-in hardness meter which can measure the hardness while specifying an impression accurately even when noise is present. CONSTITUTION: A binarization section 52 converts a digital image signal S2 of an impression into a binary image signal S3 . A closed curved surface recognition means 54 labels a region (closed curved surface) having connectedness based on the binary image signal S3 and extracts a closed curved surface image. An impression image extraction means 56 extracts an impression image from the extracted closed curved surface and a vertex coordinate calculation means 58 calculates the vertex point of impression based on the binarized image signal S3 of the impression 4. Subsequently, an impression size measuring section 60 calculates the length of diagonal of the impression. Finally, a hardness operating section 70 operates the hardness based on the pushing load of a presser 12 and the length of diagonal of the impression 4. |
