PURPOSE: To minimize air intake and leakage in connecting/disconnecting a coupling by forming inner and outer surfaces of a packing ring so that the surfaces will cooperate almost in union with a gentle tapered surface and the inner surface of an outer part. CONSTITUTION: A packing receiving space is formed between a part of the inner surface 82 on a slide D, the outer part, and a gentle tapered surface 86, and a deformable packing ring 92 with such a shape and size that it can be closely received in that packing receiving space is mounted. The packing ring 92 has an inner surface part 106 and an outer surface part 104 so that the surface parts cooperate almost in union with the gentle tapered surface 86 and the inner surface 82 of the slide D. Accordingly, air intake and leakage can be minimized when the coupling is connected/ disconnected. |
