PURPOSE: To optionally select a longitudinal and lateral equimultiple mode and a longitudinal and lateral optional-magnification mode when a plane figure is arranged in an area that a user specifies. CONSTITUTION: When the start point (x1 , y1 ) of an arrangement destination on a document page of an outline illustration that the user selects is specified, an end point position specification screen is displayed. Here, each time the user performs specific key operation, the longitudinal and lateral equimultiple mode and longitudinal and lateral optional-magnification mode are alternately set. When the user specifies an end point (x2 , y2 ) in the longitudinal lateral equimultiple mode, the largest area, i.e., rectangular area diagonalized with (x1 , y1 ) and (x3 , y3 =y2 ) or (x1 , y1 ) and (x3 =x2 , y3 ) among areas having the same longitudinal lateral ratio as the said outline illustration originally has is determined as an illustration area, and the outline illustration is varied longitudinally and laterally to the same size with the illustration area and arranged in the illustration area. |
