PURPOSE: To provide a silver halide photosensitive material which is suitable for a highly fine contrasty image formation system having high precision and high image reproducibility, has a satisfactory optical density in the image part, and never wears the other surface by contact. CONSTITUTION: In a silver halide photosensitive material having a photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer and a protecting layer on a support body, it contains a hydrazine derivative, an organic polymer particle having an average particle size of 0.2μm-30μm and having at least one functional group which is reacted with gelatin to generate a covalent bond is contained in the protecting layer.
