The hydromechanical system acts on rotating parts (50, 52). it includes a device (74) to supply hydraulic fluid to a casing (70) connected to one of the parts and rotating with it. It has a hydraulic pump (72) connected to both rotating parts so that the fluid supplied to the casing is pumped in dependence on the relative rotation between the two parts. There is a piston arrangement (96) in the casing, which has a chamber (102) supplied with fluid from the pump. The fluid acts on a moving operating element (100), which has at least one throttled outflow channel (106) through which fluid from the chamber flows.
