Building facade glazing suspension

Tongues (3, 4) projecting horizontally from the frame bars (2) engage corresponding openings (5, 6) at designed points in the frame posts (1) so the tongues continue the respective bar walls. One or other tongue comes in hook form (7, 57) to engage the holes (5, 6) and one profile wall of the bars ends flush to one wall of the post, with one or other tongue projecting off this wall of the bar. One of the tongues at least is locked into its post hole by cam-operated screws, pin, wedge or clamp etc. and bar and post are holed on their endfaces (7, 11) to accept threaded elements or plastics adapters. The bar endface holes come in slot form to take the threaded pins or adapters used to carry the glazing on the metal framework, via an interposed sealing flat. The glazing is held to the bar and posts fronts (7, 11) via sealing frames and the sealing flat is made of abutted elements using adhesive bonding etc. at their join.
