The invention relates to a sludge-drying filter which makes it possible to dry sludge from purifying plants, sedimentation wells, cattle husbandry, etc., such that the dried sludge can be removed from the filter, for example using the front-end loader of the tractor. The invention is based on the fact that the filter is built in a separate space having walls 1 and a gable which is equipped with a door or a corresponding construction 2 such that the space can be covered when required. Carriage tracks 4, 5 are present at the bottom of the filter space in the longitudinal direction such that the distance between them is the same as the track width 8 of the emptying carriage. Every second 4 carriage track guides the emptying carriage and is equipped with bevels 6, while the other carriage tracks 5 are level. The bottoms 13 of the carriage tracks are rough in order to prevent the wheels of the emptying carriage from slipping. The permanent construction of the filter; the training pipes 11 and the gravel or the crushed stone 10 are placed between the carriage tracks. The carriage tracks also guide the bucket of the emptying machine in the vertical direction such that the permanent construction of the filter is kept undamaged during the emptying period. <IMAGE>
