HF antenna system for medical NMR device for human body investigation

The high frequency antenna system includes several antenna elements (21,22,23) along the longitudinal axis (Z) of the antenna system (10). The antenna elements are arranged one behind the other and are magnetically decoupled from each other. They are also connected to a transmitter and/or receiver. The antenna elements are in cage from with two lead rings (3a,3f) at the ends. Either 3 or 5 antenna elements are used, and the conductor rings overlap by a predetermined amount. The conductor rings have different diameters at the overlap portions.
