PURPOSE: To provide the feed composition which is capable of preventing various physiological diseases due to n-6 fatty acids in beef from occurring and also used for efficiently producing beef enriched with n-3 fatty acids that are beneficial for a human body, and also to provide the method for producing such beef. CONSTITUTION: This feed composition contains: a 30 to 60 wt.% n-3 fatty acid supply source; a 7 to 20 wt.% carbohydrate supply source; a 30 to 50 wt.% emulsifier; 3 to 6 wt.% powdery hay; and a 0.05 to 0.1 wt.% oxidation inhibitor. Also, by feeding such a feed composition to beef cattle from a point of time 3 to 8 weeks before slaughtering the cattle, beef enriched with n-3 fatty acids can be produced.
