Fuel-burning process with several burner planes

The fire chamber (3) contains several burner planes and secondary air is supplied in each plane so that a circular current is produced with a fixed rotating direction about a through-flow direction. Fuel is supplied to the fire chamber in each plane tangentially to a fixed first circulating figure lying in each plane and which has in relation to the through flow direction of the fire chamber a smaller expansion in the case of a downstream burner plane than in the case of an upstream plane. All the air serving as the secondary air is supplied to the fire chamber in the same rotating direction as the fuel but in directions which do not contact the first circulating figure (28). A part of the air supplied to the fire chamber in a current parallel to the wall forms a wall air curtain.
